2011 in Review – December

Last but not least – DECEMBER!  And this month only ended a few days ago!!  So many of my christmas and boudoir sessions have to remain private, so I am just going to share a few photos from an amazing event I put on with the help of 20 amazing volunteers and the Creative Centre for the Arts.  The event was called Help-Portrait.  Help-Portrait is a global movement by photographers who want to do something with their skill to give back to those in need.  The concept is simple!

Next year Help-Portrait is sceduled world wide for Saturday Dec 8th, but our local Grande Prairie one will be Sunday December 9th, 2012!  Details will be following!

Thanks to Beauchamp Creative for this photo of us all!!!

and with that I leave you with a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! And a super cute baby in a christmas box:D

2011 in Review – November

Well it hasn’t slowed down just yet but all the travel sure has!  NOvember starts out with my favorite yearly event – the Strasdin Orthodontics Ladies in Red event for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. This was my 4th year and i just love each year as each year gets better and better!!!

November included alot of fun personal projects and a few family sessions I can share including a shoot for January’s cover of Guided Synergy (which I can’t wait to share with you once it comes out).

Here however is a very cute newborn shoot I can share – he was such a great little baby with such a great big brother!!! They both charmed my heart!

And also beautiful pregnant bellies graced the month of November too!

And of course – November was full of some fun personal projects!!!

And more fun for my favorite designer Lani Van Rooyen from ROOY Couture!    Lani needed a photo for her upcoming ad in Edmonton’s Blush magazine, so I brought along my favorite colleague – Prairie Ranger Photography and enlisted the help of two of my most favorite talented stylists – Angelina Lang on makeup and Colleen Bromby from Hair Junkie on Hair, and together they turned Lindsay Goff into a beauty. Special thanks to Sean Sargent for letting us use his “Bat Cave”.  Both Sean Trostem (Prairie Ranger) and i took numerous amounts of photos and watch for Sean’s photo in the actual ad this coming January – the shot is KILLER!  Meanwhile here are a bunch of mine which I adore and watch for Lindsay in one of these gowns blown up full size at the 2012 Ultimate Bridal Show here in Grande Prairie!

2011 in Review – October

Another crazy wonderful awesome month!!!  It started out with a family session with a gorgeous little girl who i loved meeting!  She was sooo cute and cheerful and friendly  and the fall colour in the fiels was so pretty – a straw yellow I hadn’t worked with yet this fall:D

As usual, many of my clients in October prefer their photos aren’t online, but here is a medly of so many of the fun clients I had in October – I love fall family photos!!!

And who can forget some of the babies from October either!!

And of course  - Engagements!!

And mid October I got to attend another We Day out in Vancouver this time.  18000 kids at this one too and it was amazing – the excitement, the energy – the change that these events brings about is amazing!  This We Day, i met the likes of Sir Richard Branson, President Gorbachev, Shaq, Hedley (who i actually got to sit and have dinner with – Jacob is as fun in real life as the persona you see on tv – what you see IS what you get), Down with Webster, Jesse Geddings, Mia Farrow and more!

A fabulous company here in Grande Prairie called Peek Pea also contracted me to do some photos for their products – oh the fun we had – you should check out their custom and amazing bibs and shoes made of leather – I have purchased the bibs in the past as gifts and they are amazing!

2011 in Review – September

Where to begin – what a crazy busy awe inspiring once in a lifetime month!!!  I know where to begin!  From the beginning!!!

And what a great way to kick off the month with an outdoor sunny sunflower filled wedding by to amazingly relaxed people that couldn’t wait to be married!!!!

Due to being in and out of town – there wasn’t as many family sessions (lots on October) but the ones I had were super fun and wonderful!!!:D Although many of my September and October clients prefer to have their photos left private, so here are some of the ones I could share:D

And we can’t forget the newborns:D

And then a mid month wedding in whitecourt with a pretty awesome family who gave us a run for our money in the energy department – keeping up with BOTH the bride and groom’s brothers was very interesting:D

After alll of that I flew out to Toronto to participate in an event called “We Day” with Free the Children.  I can’t even begin to describe to you the amazing experience this was and I cannot WAIT to go back next year!!!  I am just going to let the photos speak for themselves!…. (no big deal but i got to hang out with the likes of Shawn Desmon, Nelly Furtado, Nina Dobrev, Joe Jonas, Danny Glover, Neverest, City and Colour, Kardinal Official, Classified, Rick Hanson and so many more.  Ask me about some of the conversations some time – each of them were so wonderful and unique!!) It even included documenting the one on one interviews with Danny Glover, Rick Hanson, Nelly Furtado and others the next day and a shoot with Shawn Desmon for AOL wearing his new Me to We store shirt he designed himself!!!

As soon as the plane landed I was off to Banff for the wonderful wedding of these two from Red Deer.  The wedding was done at the Castle Mountain Chalets in the beautiful Banff with the Castle Mountain as the backdrop.  It was a beautiful fall day for this outdoor wedding and it couldn’t have gone any better!!!  I was tired – but ending my month with these people ended it the best way I could ever ask for!
