This family I have known for years and love them- I’ve watched their children grow up and their oldest has babysat for me many many times. This shoot was 4 years in the making with each year being put off due to their busy schedules – so glad we could make it work this year!!!

This beautiful family I had the pleasure of photographing in May when her belly was nice and big and the weather was beautiful! One of many outdoor maternity sessions this year. She wanted to continue the outdoor theme and have her newborn photos done in the same park, and so we did. What a great big brother her son is to his new sister!

I simply adore this couple. I met them a few years back when Jenna ran into my booth last minute at the Ultimate Bridal Show in Grande Prairie and entered her name for my $2000 wedding package give away. You had to be there to win the package, and I drew probably 20 names before I drew her name much to everyone else’s dismay as she had been the last entry! They upgraded to one of the larger packages using the package they won towards it, and hired me for their beautiful and unique wedding at the Rimrock in Banff. I got to know them more and more as we did not just one, but two engagements, and Jenna became involved in many charities that I also supported so we saw alot of eachother! The day came along and it was so much fun- full of starwars, rain, sunflowers and big smiles!

This couple hired me over a year in advance and I had the pleasure of getting to know them during their engagement session in the summer of 2011. Fast forward to July 7, 2012 and they were getting married. The bride had a gorgeous lace dress with just a bit of bling and her bridesmaids wore beautiful long grey gowns. The reception was all red and damask bringing such an air of class to the entire event!

Even families with thier kids become grown ups still need family photos!! This wonderful husband knew his wife really wanted family photos for a long time, and so as a surprise for her birthday he booked me! What a great husband right?

I love watching families grow. I was along for the ride when this family were pregnant with their little girl, the first photos of her, then when they surprised me with their news that they were pregnant with TWINS and then I got to meet these beautiful boys, and what charmers they were! And what a good big sister they had too! I had forgotten to blog her maternity so you get a double blog post here of both her maternity photos which she did at 23 weeks!!! and her newborn twins which were full term!

Just in time for Father’s Day, a baby girl following in her daddy’s steps….

I was asked back to a fellow photographer’s house to do some newborn photos of him and his wife and their 1 month old daughter since it was difficult for him to get himself in the photos (hehe) – their one month is happy, healthy and in training to become a little cowgirl following in her daddy’s country boots

I love this couple – I loved them from the minute we met in 2010 when the first booked with me. Fast forward to almost 2 years later, and getting to know them through engagement photos, scouting for places to shoot was so much fun. The wedding day was beautiful with so much love from their family and friends. The rain didn’t want to cooperate with us, but in the end and 3 locations later we beat the rain and got gorgeous photos. The night ended with tear felt speeches and a fantastic dance ! Congratulations Danielle & Joel!

Summer love – winter love

This super fun couple is from Grande Prairie but getting married NEW YEARS EVE in Edmonton this year. They are full of fun, silliness and are open to doing anything for photos hehe. Our walk took us to gravel pits, parks, back alleys, and they were so cute and so in love. Despite their height difference (hehe) they still manage to stay super close and kiss alot (try to make them stop – I dare you). I can’t wait for their new years eve wedding!!

Big brothers are your best friend

This family I have known for years, in fact the mother of these two boys was my part time nanny when my children were only 1 & 2 and she would bring her then 3 year old along and she would sing, and play, and read books and do crafts – she was truly amazing to my children. Fast forward almost 10 years later and she has another child and runs a very successful dayhome of her own (if one of your kids goes to her home i can’t tell you how lucky you are to have your child in her care – she is so wonderful)

She asked me to do some photos of her now 13 year old son and her almost 4 year old son and I was sooo excited to do so. Her sons are the best of friends even with 10 years between them age wise. It reminds me of those movies with the little brother looking up to the big brother with eyes of stars………Enjoy!

Vintage Hollywood Wedding!

From the day I met her Cat had a vision for her wedding – a live blues band, a red carpet, a vintage dress and hair, and unique vases and bouquets….and she pulled it all off beautifully. From the bridesmaids fun lace dresses down to the 3 flower girls unique lace ivory dresses, not a detail was missed. Cat even had her and her husbands name printed on white paper for the “red carpet” and each of her guests stopped to have their moment as a star in the red carpet photobooth.

The wedding was held at Center 2000, and catered by the wonderful Gavin Young, the food was out of this world and the band who came from edmonton (Boogie Patrol) was UNBELIEVABLE – one of the best blues voices I’ve heard! The bouquet was amazingly unique using a cactus flower in full bloom as the center of it – was made by our local Grower’s Direct

This was such a fun night – congrats to Cat and Derek!
