AS I drove into McLennan, Alberta for this wedding, I approached a cathedral located in the middle of nowhere – this beautiful church (Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist) built in 1949. The bride and groom looked so amazing and so happy – you could tell they had waited so patiently for this day. Surrounded by all their friends and family, the said their vows, exchanged their rings, and walked out full of smiles. We took advantage of the surroundings in McLennan, such as the local pond at the campground, wheat fields and a relatives house full of trees and old vehicles!

So a long time client of mine, and one of my most favorite Makeup Artists (brides/ladies looking for an amazing makeup artist – she is the one – Angelina Lang), well, she just had a baby boy! And I had the honour of photographing him at 10 days old, so precious and small. I also did her maternity photos in June. Seems like yesterday I was just there photographing her pregnancy and newborn baby girl who is now over 2 years old. I’ve had fun photographing and watching her grow up and can’t wait to be a part of documenting this baby boy’s precious life too!

So much fun! After one Lisa and Korey wedding I got a Lisa and Cory wedding the weekend after! Just like the first couple – this couple was amazing and so in love. Their friends and family sang and played acoustic music for the ceremony and the formals took place a dear friend of ours beautiful yard and the bridal party was chauffeured around in a huge custom trailer!!!! The theme was peacocks and Dar from Dar’s Decorating outdid herself again creating a beautiful scene out at 5 mile hall! Check out this sneak peek and enjoy!! Thanks to second shooter Lukasz Herba for joining me on this one!

Well I decided to stay up and edit a few for you all to see since I am headed on holidays…. This day took forever to prepare for but so worth it in the end. Our lovely model Victoria went through hair, makeup, nails and dress fittings as one dress wasn’t even finished being created when the day began!! And what a talented team I had! Chelsea Campagna for hair, Charity Hudak from Esteemed Essence for makeup, Nails by Deanne Thompson, Photographer Heather Ballek and of course the most talented Lani Van Rooyen from ROOY Couture.
Enjoy!

This wonderful couple I had the pleasure of documenting their day (and their engagement photos a few months back). So in love, they themed their wedding as a Vintage Garden, full of old fashioned candies, feathers for the girls hair, mustaches for all the men, antique frames , moss, apocotharies filled with earthly goods – even the bouquets were fill of amazing spelling herbs, ivies, poppy seeds and more! Lana Milner Weddings did an incredible Job with the planning of this event that took place at the University of Alberta Campus, first at the Convocation Hall and finishing up at the Faculty Club. Designer Linda Lindemann created a gorgeous vintage dresser and frames for the props/set for the wedding and as usualy SWISH flowers outdid themselves on the bouquets – It truly was amazing. Sarah Kumar from The Painted Cake. The wedding was followed up with a Day after session at Fort Edmonton Park!
Here is a really BIG sneak peek to tie you all over!
